01 / Why it exists

Why it exists

Being in the same place does not automatically make the right people or businesses easy to find. oiMeet is a concept in development around the space between proximity and a meaningful introduction.

02 / oiMeet

The experience we’re building

Conferences, events, campuses and venues offer shared context, but relevance also depends on preferences, current intent and mutual consent. The idea explores how someone looking to connect could express that intent while another person chooses whether a conversation makes sense. Consumer connections and event or business discovery are distinct exploratory use cases, not one universal promise about social interaction. A useful experience would make relevant possibilities easier to notice without assuming that physical closeness is permission to contact someone. oiMeet has not launched Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or mobile discovery capabilities, and no adoption or connection outcomes are claimed. The present stage is about developing and questioning the concept, including how privacy and clear choices should shape any future experience.

01

Start with a shared place

Conferences, events, campuses and venues bring people together physically. oiMeet explores how that shared setting could also make relevant people and businesses easier to discover.

02

Connect place with purpose

Preferences and current intent add meaning to proximity. Consumer connections and event or business discovery are distinct use cases being explored, rather than one universal matching promise.

03

Make the introduction a choice

Mutual consent and privacy are central design goals. Real-world usefulness, privacy design and technical feasibility must be validated before a public experience can be promised.

03 / The focus

Who it is for

People sharing events and spaces, alongside organizers, venues and businesses interested in relevant discovery. Personal connections and event or business matching are separate possibilities to validate with the people who would use them.
